LaunchReel AI / Launch video generator
A launch video generator that starts from your URL
A launch video generator turns a product into a short film announcing it. LaunchReel AI is one: paste your website address, our Claude Opus 5.5 writing desk reads it and writes the brief and the storyboard, and our engine draws a film of about 30 seconds from your real screens and type. The first film is free.
By the LaunchReel team
No email and no card to start. The brief, the storyboard and the first cut follow by themselves; we ask for an email only when you want the film kept, downloaded or changed.
What is a launch video?
A launch video is a short film, usually under a minute, that shows a new product to people who have never seen it. It opens on the problem, shows three to six things the product does with real screens, and ends on the product's name and address. It runs on a launch page, a Product Hunt gallery, a thread on X or a store listing.
It is not a tutorial and not a trailer with actors. The point is that someone who scrolls past it with the sound off still understands what the product does and who it is for. That is why the words on screen matter more than the music.
What does LaunchReel do with my URL?
LaunchReel reads the public pages of your site: the home page and up to three inner pages such as pricing, features or docs. It answers six questions from those pages, each with the page it came from: what the product is, who it is for, the pain it removes, how it compares, why you built it, and how a founder would pitch it. If the site does not say something, it says so instead of making it up.
From those answers our writing desk, which runs on Claude Opus 5.5, writes a brief (audience, three to six selling points, tone, which screens to show) and a storyboard: every shot with its duration and its on-screen words. Then our engine draws the film as motion design from your real screenshots, colours, fonts and logo. No diffusion model paints a frame, so UI text stays sharp and your brand stays yours.
- A website address, such as yourproduct.com
- A GitHub repository link, with or without the site
- A sentence about the product, or just its name: we look for the site and show you which one we found
- A .zip of up to 50 MB with source or assets, and up to 6 pictures: screenshots, a logo, a reference frame
How long does it take?
A free 5-second ad is ready about 4 minutes after you submit a site. It is one line, one picture and your name, and you can take the 720p copy right away. The full film, about 30 seconds, is drawn only when you ask for it and is ready about 2 minutes later. A cinematic Stage version of the film takes about 5 minutes more.
Most of the time you spend is reading, not waiting: the six answers, the brief and the storyboard appear on the waiting screen as they are written, so a wrong selling point is fixed as a line of text before any frame is drawn.
What does the film look like?
Every film gets its own look sheet: a palette taken from your site, a type pairing, a light or dark stage, the pace of the cuts and the layouts used for numbers, steps and features. Two products do not come out as the same film.
Four looks are documented on their own pages: keynote, hand-drawn, big type and UI walkthrough. The Stage look is a dark, cinematic version: one light, your real screenshots lit in a dark room. It is free to try, and the film you already have stays until it is ready.
Can I change the film after I see it?
Yes. Once the preview is ready, a timeline of your shots sits next to a chat. Say what to change in plain words ("make the second line shorter", "use the pricing screenshot here") and only that shot is rewritten and redrawn. The first 3 small changes are included with every film. After that, changing a shot costs 1 credit, and a credit is taken only when the change lands. Questions are free.
Every version of a shot is kept, so you can go back. A whole-film change, such as switching to the Stage look, counts as one of the included small changes too.
How much does it cost?
The first film is free: the brief, the storyboard, the 5-second ad and the preview of the full film, plus a 720p copy with a small corner badge that is yours to keep. No card is needed. You verify an email once so we can send you the file.
Paid files are bought with credits from one-time packs: Starter 20 credits for $9, Launch 100 for $25, Growth 220 for $50, Studio 480 for $100, Agency 1000 for $200. A clean 1080p file without the badge is 10 credits, a 4K file is 20, and a clean short cut of 5 to 10 seconds in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 is 6. Credits never expire and nothing renews. A pack is fully refundable until you download a clean export. The whole table is on the pricing page.
How it works in 3 steps
- 01
Paste your URL
Paste yourproduct.com, a GitHub repo, or a sentence about your product into the box. No email and no card to start.
- 02
Check the brief and the storyboard
Our Claude Opus 5.5 writing desk answers six questions from your pages, writes the brief and the storyboard, and shows each piece as it lands. Correct anything that is wrong before the film is drawn.
- 03
Take the film, then change what you like
The 5-second ad arrives in about 4 minutes; ask for the full film (about 30 seconds) and it follows in about 2. Take the free 720p copy, change shots by chat, or buy a clean 1080p or 4K export.
Who it is for
- Founders and indie hackers launching a web product, a SaaS, an app or a developer tool
- Teams that want the storyboard in writing before the film is drawn
- Anyone who needs a film that reads with the sound off: captions are burned in
- Product Hunt, Show HN, store listings and launch pages that take a 16:9 MP4
Who it is not for
- Live-action footage of people, places or hands using your product
- 3D product renders or photoreal scenes
- Products with no public site and no screenshots: the engine never invents an interface
- Films that need a voice-over or music today: the film is silent for now, with AI music coming soon

Questions people ask
Is this AI video generation?
It is an AI-assisted product video tool. It makes the launch film from your product's information: our Claude Opus 5.5 writing desk reads your site and writes the words and the plan, and our engine draws the film as code-driven motion graphics from your real screenshots, colours, fonts and logo. It does not generate photoreal people or invented interfaces, and no diffusion model paints frames, so text stays exact and one shot can change without touching the rest.
Do I need a website?
No. Type the product's name or a sentence about it and we look for the site, tell you which one we found, and let you change it. A GitHub repository or a .zip of up to 50 MB works too.
What format is the film?
The full film is about 30 seconds, a 16:9 MP4: 1920×1080 for the clean file, 3840×2160 for 4K, with captions burned in and an .srt file. Short cuts of 5 to 10 seconds come in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 for Reels, Shorts, TikTok and square feeds.
Is the free film watermarked?
The free copy carries a small corner badge and a one-second end card with your domain; it is 720p and yours to keep. The paid 1080p and 4K files have no badge.
Which language will the film be in?
The language of your site. The brief and the film are written in your site's language, whatever language this page is in.
What happens to my site's content?
We fetch only public pages, honour your robots.txt, and keep what we fetched while your project exists so you can come back to it. We do not sell it and do not use it to train models. Email support@launchreel.ai to delete a project and every file made for it. Details are in the privacy policy.
Try it on your own site
Paste your URL. The brief and the storyboard come back for you to check, the first film is free, and the 720p copy is yours to keep. See pricing.
