LaunchReel AI / Kickstarter video maker

A Kickstarter video maker for the part that explains the product

A campaign video usually has two halves: the people behind the project talking to camera, and a segment that shows what the product does. LaunchReel AI makes the second half. Paste your product page or describe the product in a sentence, approve the brief and the storyboard, and get a silent 16:9 motion-design segment with burned-in captions and an .srt file. You add the voice-over and music in your editor.

No email and no card to start. You see the brief and the storyboard first; we ask for an email only when you want the preview rendered.

What is free, what costs credits

  • Free, no email: the brief and the storyboard, written from what you paste. One storyboard rewrite is free too.
  • Free once per verified email: a watermarked 720p preview of the film (and a few per network per day).
  • Credits from one-time packs, from $9: 1 to change a shot, 10 for a clean 1080p export, 20 for 4K, 5 to start another product. See pricing.

What the film is today

  • 16:9 only, 1920×1080 or 4K. A 9:16 vertical cut is not available yet.
  • Silent: captions are burned in and you also get an .srt file. No voiceover or music yet.
  • MP4 files. No GIF export.

Where it fits in a campaign video

A common structure, and which parts we make:

  • The hook and who you are: you film this
  • The problem, then the product explained: this is the segment LaunchReel AI makes, 30 or 60 seconds
  • Features, specs or a demo: a second film is another project (5 credits)
  • Rewards, timeline and the ask: you film this

It is silent, for now

The film has no voice or music today. Most campaign videos are cut in an editor anyway: put our MP4 on the timeline, record your narration over it, and use the .srt file as a starting point for subtitles.

What it cannot show

Our films are drawn from words, screens and images, not filmed. For a hardware project, the product in someone's hands has to be real footage. Renders or photos already on your page can be used as screens in the explainer, and the brief lets you pick which.

Questions

Does the video have sound?

No. It is silent motion design with captions burned in and an .srt file. Add your voice-over and music in your editor; a voice track is on our pricing page as not available yet.

How long is the segment?

30 seconds by default, or 60 seconds if you ask for it when you rewrite the storyboard. That is the explainer part; the rest of the campaign video is yours.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes. Once you export a clean, unwatermarked video you may use it for any lawful commercial purpose, including a crowdfunding campaign. See the terms.

Try it on your own project

Paste your link. The brief and the storyboard come back in a few minutes, for you to correct before anything renders. See pricing.
